The Vancouver Island Dog Judges Study Group is pleased to be hosting the CKC/CDJA Annual Conference for Conformation Judges.

  • Our Keynote Speaker will be Ms. Sue Vroom, AKC Executive Field Representative, AKC Education Liaison, and Bouvier breeder. AKC ENews article provides an introduction - Ms. Vroom offers a wealth of knowledge, experience and passion for the purebred fancy.
  • The conference will be held in the Mary Winspear Centre (Sidney, BC) - in close proximity to various hotels and restaurants. Minutes to Victoria International Airport and Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal.
  • All coffee breaks, Saturday & Sunday lunches are included with registration fee. Saturday dinner will be off-site and not included in registration fee. Details TBA.

 

CKC 101 Introduction to Conformation (mandatory for those wishing to apply for judging)

  • From Swartz Bay Ferries: (Ferries from the mainland sail on the odd hour starting at 7:00am. to 9:00p.m. Phone (250) 386-3431, or visit www.bcferries.com)
    Departing from ferry terminal, this is #17. The first set of lights, turn LEFT into Sidney. Mary Winspear Centre is on the right side of road, hotels on either side. That's right - MINUTES from ferry terminal. 

  • From Up Island:
    South on Trans-Canada, left on McKenzie, take route #17 to go north (towards ferries), then RIGHT into Sidney.

    By Air: Victoria International Airport
    There is a hotel shuttle service available to and from the airport. Ferry Pick up and drop off to/from Ferry is offered by VIDJSG
